Excessive Data use on phone

I don't think there is a way to do this, but just in case..

In December my phone used 52 GB of data allowance and obliterated the companies data allowance. A bit of a bill! Apparently my data usage then dropped back to normal in January.

It does not make a lot of sense to me. I was travelling less than normal, had a week off, and Christmas off.

Would the phone / apple log which app was using the data anywhere?

On an iPhone - Settings -> Mobile Data

Did you have it setup as a hotspot that you laptop may have used instead of your joke WiFi?

If it’s an iPhone, the mobile data section of settings will give you a breakdown of which apps have used data
