Outlook move placeholders to a different meeting

Knowing I had a meeting coming up for Monday, I sent out an invite to those needed as a Placeholder. My subcontractor has now sent out their invite, which I now need to move my attendees to. How do I do this and merge the two meetings?
Or do I just cancel my meeting and forward the subcon's invite to the same?

Yes, Forward and add your recipients to the subcon's invite.
