Purchased one of these to watch for foxes so i xan take still pictures with the DSLR ( saves looking through the letter box!!)

Works ok on the wifi to the mobile, but want to put it on the laptop.

It has a RJ42 connector with a and i got one with a USB on the other end

In my simple computer mind i thought, great plug in the USB and away we go

Not the case

Any suggestions how i get it working on the laptop?
TIA

I'm guessing it has a web interface, browse to it's IP from a browser and see if you can view the feed there.

The instructions it came with should give you it's default IP address (Something like 192.168.1.40) - enter that into a web browser (Chrome, Edge etc) when the camera is powered on and connected to wifi. You should hit the default landing page which will probably allow you to view the feed.
