BBC said:
Two UK internet providers have been helping the Home Office and National Crime Agency track the websites visited by customers.

A trial of new powers granted by the controversial Investigatory Powers Act of 2016 has been going on for months.

It involves the internet providers creating internet connection records (ICRs), which can be used to show which websites a person visited and when.
On that note, does anyone routinely use a VPN? I have Ivacy, but it's not great, and takes a while to locate the DNS server, although it is fast enough once it connects. Means that when you click on a page it hangs for a second or 3 before loading.

I only visit PH and Pornhub anyway so it wouldn’t be a very long list of sites in my case. I suppose it would be useful in identifying when the mrs was in or out of the house though smile
