SFF PC for Gaming / VM's
Discussion
Hi All,
Looking at building a small form factor gaming PC and pricing up the parts myself I could build one for around £1200 assuming I could get a graphics card which I can’t.
I found the following build available to buy prebuilt on Scan for £1468, individual Scan components and prices below, so a £150 extra for the build.
I have a 4k monitor and a couple of SSD’s to put into it, its a bit more than I wanted to pay and doesn't USB-C on the front but I can live with that..
Would the above have cooling issue's playing fortnite/flight sim on high settings?

3060 has no chance at 4K - even the 3070 is touch & go. I use a 3070 for 1440p gaming, which seems to be its sweet spot....and that's for 'normal' games. MSFS2020 is a huge hog, and from reports I've seen (there's even a FS2020 thread on here) for 4K at 30fps you'll need at least a 3080.
Current prices for anything that will give you a decent 4k experience are about £1000 for a 3080 (if you need ray tracing) or £900 for a 6800XT (if you don't need ray tracing).
So you'd need to find everything else for a couple of hundred £££ to fit your budget....and wait a few months for a GPU.
