I want a colour laser printer for my home office. It must be able to do scanning and copying too, double sided printing without me having to intervene and be wifi connectivity compatible.

My searching so far has come up with -

Brother DCPL3550CDW
Brother MFCL3750CDW

with them both pretty much being the same machine but the MFC being faster and able to fax also.

Any other competitors from the likes of HP etc? I haven't managed to to find anything else that meets those requirements

The Brother seems a good choice - it's come up in a few recent posts & those who have bought it seem happy. You can get compatible cartridges which keeps the running costs down. It is a bit odd that there are two devices with such similar specs & the same price.

Yeah the more expensive unit is only about £20 more for the faster speed which is good and a fax option that will never be used.

I bought the 3270 about this time last year. I was sick of the HP inkjet eating cartridges, so thought I'd risk a laser.

It's been really good. Not had to change a toner yet. It's pretty quiet, warms up quickly, has decent print quality and works faultlessly wirelessly too - even prints from iOS devices without any issue either.

No regrets yet.

They are both £280 at Argos, although I haven't done a price search recently so you may have found it cheaper than that.

Ahh that’s good. I found the one without fax for £270 and the one with fax for £290

I have an Ecosys M5526 CDW I bought last December. Works very well indeed and is pretty quiet as well.

Thanks Andy, a bit further digging after my initial post found that supplier and the Kyocera units. I will take a look
