Minimising multiple pages advice needed
Discussion
I have only a basic working knowledge of computers.
I recently formatted and reinstalled to get rid of a naughty trojan.
I use Internet Explorer and no longer can open more than one web page at a time.
If I minimise the page that I am looking at and then open a new page, it replaces the minimised page, rather that being open concurrently.
I am sure that it is just a question of checking the right box in an options folder somewhere.
Can anybody point me in the right direction.
Cheers :drink:

Drop explorer move to firefox, solve these problems and others like spyware ... www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/start/
Pat,
I think the option you are looking for is in..
Tools, Internet Options, Advanced Tab...
look for "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"
Take the tick out...
You should now be able to open lots of instances of IE5...
The suggestion about using Firefox is valid, particularly when opening multiple pages... But, leave installing that until you have more experience.
