Just checking bank statement, and there's money gone out for a eBay/PayPal purchase, but nothing on either of those accounts to match. Also the ref number which looks like the item number, when put into eBay, brings up nothing.

Bank, when I got through to someone, wouldn't escalate to a fraudulent transaction, as I had accounts with eBay and PayPal, and instructed me to contact them, and dispute the transaction, can you see where this going?

Sure enough, my attempts to lodge a complaint, about a transaction that didn't take place, fell at the point where I had to pinpoint the transaction in my history, and on either site, there isn't one, so money disappeared from my bank, allegedly for a purchase I haven't made, and neither bank nor the shambles of eBay/PayPal will progress the complaint .

How do I get to actually speak to someone rather than an automated process that's rubbish
Lloyds operative who I did speak to was no help mind.

Amount is less than £6 but not the point, start small and build up I'd like to avoid.

Is it a direct debit or was it perhaps a debit card purchase to an outfit who used PayPal as the payment processor?

Password's have been changed on both accounts, money was a debit transaction, not sure if its a bank issue or eBay/PayPal, as nothing showing on those accounts.

Transaction details list it as eBay/PayPal, so not another party using PayPal as payment .... reference number looks like a eBay listing number, similar to recent actual transactions I have made, but entering that number into the search, brings up item not found.

Rather than a transaction, is it an ebay bill for selling/buying fees instead?

Not sold anything, but have purchased off eBay, so if its a invoice for something, then wouldn't eBay inform me I owed money and they were billing me, nothing in my eBay account for that.
