Hi,

Around the house I have a few TP LInk Powerline WiFi extenders, offering ethernet and WiFi.
Appreciating the speed limitations, i've no issues with them, as they "just work" and are fast enough for Sky Q, working from the kitchen and like.
However, they are a bit of a wall wart and take up sockets:

As I am putting in some new sockets, please does anyone know if there are any integrated solutions that can be considered?

Thanks in advance smile

I use passthrough ones so you don't lose a socket: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TL-PA4010PKIT-Passthrough...

You can get integrated which is tidy but then you lose a socket, eg: https://www.amazon.co.uk/200AV-Power-Ethernet-Sock...

That's a good spot, as it shows they're out there, although at £80+ it's a bit of a luxury.. smile

Another vote for a passthrough adapter - I wouldn't get anything else.

Just hang a multi-gang power block and (if needed) small ethernet hub off one and hide it behind furniture.

And as if by coincidence look what arrived today smile

One of my passthrough units failed after 9 years. Had already decided I was going to move from ZyXEL to TP-Link as the former was known to throw up compatibility problems with other makes as previously they had not stuck to agreed standards. In the end I had no choice as you can't get ZyXEL stuff at present. These were to replace two passthrough and one normal unit - note I've been using powerline for about 15 years so know what I need wink

Interestingly the normal unit was recognised and spoke to my surviving ZyXEL passthrough straight away. Switched in the two new TP-Link passthrough units and while they spoke to each other they would not tp anything else. Downloaded the official untiily to my PC and had to manually add the normal units - all fine - also added the two remaining ZyXEL units and those work so I now have spares (one passthrough and one 3 port switch).

If you are happy to lose the ethernet then these could be an option?

The couple of Devolo pass throughs I've had both failed within a few years, whereas the non pass throughs ones are all still working.
