Help! Copying emails issue - thanks
Discussion
Hi
Got myself into a pickle, and would really appreciate some help.
Long story short, I worked for a contractor and recently TUPE’d in-house with client. Couldn’t be agreed for our emails to transfer with us, so I dragged and dropped quite a number relating to personal training records, professional qualification emails etc.
So, created files in my new Outlook, and dragged emails over. All fantastic, for about 15 secs, when almost 80% suddenly disappeared from the folder in new Outlook. They were there momentarily. I thought maybe they were archiving, but not found in Online Archive folder - and not older than others that remained!
Really very much appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks!

I would check any rules you or your organisation might have in place. I had something similar about 20 years ago, when a number of unread emails read themselves and routed off to a mailbox that no longer existed. Gone for good.
Not necessarily the case for you, but you may wish to speak to your IT department for suggestions.
These days, I create a new pst/data file, copy anything I want to that folder in the pst file, shut outlook, and transfer the file to the new PC, and open it directly there.

Though your talk of data implies you did this already.
