I have requested a copy of a graphic from a customer of mine expecting them to send me a jpeg, tif, bitmap or the like. However, they have supplied me with a word doc with the graphic having been pasted into it.

I can obviously cut and paste the image from the word doc, but I want to be able to save it as a jpeg file in its own right so I can call upon using it in web design etc.

Problem is, I think this should be simple, but I can't figure out how to do it at the moment. Can anyone tell how to please?

TIA

Raify

Copy the image in word, then open your picture editing software.

Most of them have a menu like:

Paste as new image (Microsoft Photo Editor)
File > New > Image from clipboard (Photoshop)

Be careful copying images out of Word and pasting elsewhere - the quality tends to be shite for some reason. I usually do a print screen and paste that in instead.

Yeah, try both methods and see which is best.

If your using photoshop you need to also be in the right 'mode' .

Certain images you cannot save as jpeg.

The work around is to create a new file in RGB mode.

Then copy the screen or clipboard image to it.

Feel free to email me and I can save it for you.

Regards,

Ramesh.

Thanks everyone - by going from programme to programme, and armed with the info above, I have succeeded in getting this done. Thanks again
