I'm using a Samsung S8+ which is 2017 and can't see why I'd change it and I think many others are doing the same. How old is yours? And if it under a year, why change it?

Mines a Note 8. Gone are the days where I would update at the end of my contract, I'm not really into photography!

Think you’re missing 1-2 years, which would cover my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Still using my 2015 motog3, although I have a G5 that's two years younger, bought to do long term timelapse. It has occurred to me I might as well bring this into regular use as it has twice the memory.

I had a P20 pro and it was only the second time I have ever got the end of a contract and it didn't need replacing. Was happy to go sim only but unfortunately my wife needed a new one so I volunteered to take the financial hit. She got the P20 Pro and I got a new Samsung S20 5G. What a disappointment, worse camera than the P20 and generally no improvement 2 years later tech wise.

Would have got a P40 if not for the app issues.

As long as the battery is still ok, phones are not progressing fast enough to make worth changing them for at least 5 years.

Still using my Huawei p20 pro, although I have needed to replace the charging port, the battery and the rear case, all sourced from E-bay and installed with a little help from You Tube, I will only replace my phone when it physically stops working and I cant repair it, Rolling 12 month contract £15 a month job done.

I cant see the point in upgrading to a newer phone that does the same things my current phone does, oh and I would have to pay around £40 a month for the privilege.

I have a P30 Pro on contract ending soon, however like others won't be renewing and will instead drop to the cheapest tariff. Nothing else out there to tempt me to upgrade.

S5, probably 5+ yrs I think.
I've needed a new one for about a year now, but other things have got in the way so it plods along.
Right now it's just being arsed to take the hours and hours needed to read the reviews, check all the prices and get a newer one, it won't be the latest though.

Huawei Honor 9 which I think is now c 3 years old - bought as an emergency stopgap while my Nexus 5x went off to get "repaired" - so good, the Nexus was relegated to back up when it was returned.

Struggling to see what else I could replace it with with the same footprint which is important to me - still some features I want that I don't have, but nothing worth shelling out £200 for.

I have a Motorola G6 plus. I think it's about 3 years old now. Bought from new and still does everything I need it to.

Coming up for 2 years old, had last one for 5 years but changed due to battery failing. Would have just had the battery changed but no one would guarantee the water proof rating after opening it up.

I've just "upgraded" from my s7 Edge to an s20 ultra for the built in uwa lens.

Battery life is great, but it's a brick frown not loving it tbh.. Keeping it on the magnetic wireless charger in the car is a challenge.

Missing the headphone jack, tube amp Pro and a proper hardware home button (also gave me something tangible to aim for when unlocking via finger print)

Apart from the camera it doesn't actually feel like a forwards step tbh.

Not sure this phone will hang around for 5 years tbh.

Tend to get a new phone annually - normally when on holiday in the US as iPhones are cheaper there and then sell / recycle mine for a really strong value making “upgrading” almost painless

S9 work phone (use it for personal) seems to still work very well, the S7 before it felt a bit long in the tooth, might see what the new offering is and say this one's broken.
