Had an S7 which worked fine, then WiFi would not switch on. Cleared the cache, cleared WiFi setting but no joy. Switched to my old S6 and all was fine. A month later and exactly the same thing with the S6. I've just factory reset the S7, updated OS, updated the apps from the base build and only WhatsApp is installed on top of the base build.

I get up to an hour of WiFi and then it will switch WiFi on and not allow it to be switched back on without clearing network settings and rebooting.

I'm confysed what could cause this across two devices.

Throw a third device in to the mix or something else?

I think you just have to accept the S7 is an old phone now, and may just be going wrong.

It would be like shooting a dog!

I know you may be right but I like a challenge

So reboot in safe mode, Wi-Fi works. Remove all none core apps, reboot and Wi-Fi works. So install one app a day (whilst waiting for news of the pixel 6)
