Anyone had a phone bought direct Amazon repaired?
Discussion
As above, I bought a Samsung A71 less than a year ago, a direct Amazon sale not from a 3rd party seller.
Unfortunately the charging port has packed up, following Amazon returns/repair section it will be sent to a 'Authorized' repair company and should take 14 days the problem I have the company based in Nottingham it will be sent to have absolutely terrible reviews taking forever etc or returning broke.
The company sells & repairs electric 'Olympic Shavers' bugger all to do with phones, if it was out of warranty I would buy the charge port and swap myself something I've done many times over the years.
Anyone put my mind at rest???

Approx. 13 months left on warranty.
I've tried all the usual with different chargers cables, it will charge maybe once in 100 attempts inserting USB C cable, cleaned out the ports with toothbrush used a bit of electrical switch cleaner, plug into laptop Windows complains of unrecognised USB device etc.
I have ordered an original Samsung charger port for the phone from eBay not a Chinese copy and some recommended glue to put the covers back on, (it's not a fully waterproof phone) I think, as I've done many phones laptops tablets before I will go down the route of do it myself.
I would be interested on hearing anyone's experience of their phone sent off to 'authorized' dealer to be repaired via Amazon.
