Anyone else on here holding on to the venerable series 3 model?

Did an OS update yesterday and took about 3 hours of pair, reboot, white circle, pair, reboot, white circle.

Is it best to upgrade to the series 6 now and bank the 50 or so quid trade in value?
Or is the 6 just as bad?

The problem with the 3 is the available storage which makes any updates horrific compared to any newer models.

The whole unpair/update/restore process was only previously recommended by Apple for the S3 updates, it’s now mandated as part of the update routine.

The Mrs has an S6 and it’s great and decent value the S7 will be out soon too.

Thanks. May be time for an update, I seem to change my cars more frequently than my watch / phone but that's a another story...

Went from a 2 to a 6 at the end of last year as the 2 had got very slow and the battery life had dropped to below a day.

6 is a big leap forward in speed and does a day and a half on a charge, with a 1 to 2 hour run or bike session.

Other than that its an Apple Watch, just works!

I'm still running my Watch 3, now that I have accepted that the updates will be slow and that it probably easiest to wipe and start fresh it isn't so bad.

Day to day it is still running fine. I guess I will upgrade when it no longer supports the current watchOS.

just traded mine - found a place that gives GBP70 which is better than apple, would rather get some kind of return now.

Planning on an SE to replace it
