One thing that has been bugging me for ages about Photoshop Elements/Windows 10 is the workspace zoom.

My Win10 laptop has too high a resolution for the screen (useful for external screens, but not the built in one). So I use the zoom feature at 175%.

The vast majority of apps scale correctly and everything is lovely. Except Photoshop Elements.

At 175% an important part of the PSE workspace (foreground/background colour selections) become obscured by a (frankly useless to me) menu at the bottom of the window.

If I set Win10 zoom to 100% it scales properly for PSE. But then the fonts used for every other app are way too small to be usable. Examples below. Red arrows point out the troubled area. You can see what adjusting the zoom level does to icons/text in the windows taskbar...it's worse when I then run things like Office.

175%:

100%:

Does anyone know if:

- the menu at the bottom in PSE can be removed (I've searched and searched but either cannot find the right name for it or it cannot be done)
- know if later versions exhibit the same issue (I'm on PSE15 - I have zero interest in Adobe's rental software - that would irritate me more than the problem described smile)
- know if there's a macro type tool in Windows that would allow me to change the zoom level whenever PSE has focus on the desktop?

PSE isn't a part of Creative Cloud - you buy it outright, about £75. There's a free trial - why not download and try it.

I have PSE - it's what the screen shots were from smile

I was wondering if anyone else had a later version and if it cured the issue above. I guess I could download it myself and try...though I suspect that will involve a world of headaches with version clashes/installs smile
