External HD Password

Think I know the answer to this

For some reason i changed the password on an external HD a few weeks ago... and obviously i cant remember it, is there any easy way to recover it ?

Its a WD Passport for Mac if that makes any difference.

There are companies that can help but can be expensive

How much is the data worth to you and is it backed up?

Yeah it’s not worth that lol

Mainly holiday photos that type of stuff not worth spending money on just hoped there might be a diy solution

Know thyself.

What's the most likely quick password that you would usually choose in that situation?

Kid's name, a place, a car type, the names of friends / enemies etc.?

Or maybe you go random, in which case you're screwed.
