My graphics card blew yesterday, closely followed by my power supply unit.

Anyway, no problem, new PSU and graphics card and my PC is running just fine. Except that it now has an annoying little thing that asks me to click my user account icon to proceed after hibernating or a resart.

I used to just power up and go staight into windows.

How do I restore the status quo? (and not the rock band before some smart alec chimes in! :) )

Yeas, there is a check bos in the advanced tab, but I had already been there and unticked it.....

Trivial problem, but a pain if you are used to starting up the pc, leaving the room and coming back with everything up and running.

Not sure what has caused the change on your pc, but a solution I have used is to download and install TweakUI, in this there is an "autologon" setting (under the "Logon" section) that will enable you to set it to logon as specific user and password, so would fix the problem.

http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/a/fca6767b-9ed9-45a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Good luck..
