Laptop keyboard weirdness

Alcohol gelled my laptop keyboard while it was running Win10 and screen locked.

Presumably pressed some weird key combination as it now beeps around once every 2/3rd of a second.

Not a bios beep but a deeper bub noise.

Keyboard doesn't work but will sometimes work if I press the windows key and another key.

Mouse is fine.

Very annoying.

Any ideas?

Sticky keys? Shift key getting held down?

You might find it will be better after it has dried out and left with the power disconnected for 5 mins.

You should not apply any sort of liquid, gel, etc when it is powered up.

Yep - I've definitely fried something.

Using the on screen keyboard in Windows.

Can't boot to bios to reload saved configuration in case it's a bios issue.

I'll buy a new keyboard and use a bt one if that doesn't fix it.

Time for a new laptop perhaps.
