Imac usb c hdmi & usb c hub
Discussion
I'm looking for an adapter or hub for one of my iMacs usb c ports. I want to use the existing thunderbolt/usb c connection to hook up a second monitor via HDMI and that also offers at least one usb c port too replace the one used by the HDMI output.
There seems to be numerous hubs that offer HDMI and USB 3 ports with card readers etc, but none that seem to offer the additional usb c facility. I dont need any more usb 3 ports as I already have a mains powered hub that covers that, but do want tye USB c (or thunderbolt 3) facility.
Thanks

Maybe it's a bandwith issue? A lot of the bandwidth has gone to the HDMI port. This has one Type C data port:

If you search for Thunderbolt Dock you might get a few more choices:

I've got the Anker one above for my MacBook that does the job - 2 USB C ports, 2 USB A, HDMI and Ethernet.
Be aware the cheaper USB C ones are usually limited to 30Hz at 4k if that matters to you. There is always the official Apple thunderbolt AV adaptor but it is stupid expensive:
