Hi, the answer to this is probably no but just thought of asking anyway.

I have Gmail app on my android phone. I almost exclusively use this app to read/write emails. When I delete emails from app, they don't delete from the email account on the server. Is there a way to manage this so that when I delete an email in app, it gets deleted from server as well? Ta

Are you swiping / dragging to do a sync after deleting the email?

Are you on Apple or Android? Are you using IMAP or POP3?

Thanks for your replies. I am syncing and don't know what is POP or IMAP.

I had an old tablet which I tried this on and it seemed to work as in when I delete email on app, it disappears from Web as well. So just my phone. I have deleted the Gmail app and downloaded again in case of some issues. Its synching now. Will report back.

Thanks

Does sound like you are on POP on your old phone and IMAP on your tablet.

eg POP 'receives the email' and everything else is just relevant on the phone. Whereas on the tablet (IMAP) when you mark as Read / Delete etc, that change on the tablet is sync'd up to the server.

Bit more to it than that, but thats in broad strokes.

On your phone:
