Transferring downloads onto new laptop
Discussion
I am in the process of transferring a lot of files from my old laptop to my new one
However getting an error message when trying to do the 'Downloads'
The error code is 0x80070570
and a search on the web gives me a program that will sort this out called Restoro
Is it worth spending 25.00 for a years use, or are there any other Cheaper, better solutions i can use?
TIA

A quick google implies that this error might be caused by a corrupt file in the download directory that you are trying to copy.
Seeing as the download directory is generally just for files/documents you have downloaded from the internet, then I would manually copy only the files I wanted and delete the others.
If you want to keep lots of files (i.e. you can't be bothered to manually filter them), then try copying groups of files. If you get the error, then copy fewer until you identify which file is causing the problems.
I'm sure others will be along soon with conflicting advice

Restoro looks remarkably snake oil like.
Either look up how to use robocopy with the skip failed files option, or select half the files in downloads (sort by name) see if they copy, then try the second half. For the half that fails, chop that in half, see if that copies, and so forth. You'll quickly narrow down which file(s) won't copy.
