Facebook Low Resolution Pictures

Just taken some nice RAW piccies, converted them in Lightroom and uploaded to Facebook and they are in a really crappy low resolution. Waited 10 mins just in case they were sorting out the high res image but nope still the same.

Any ideas ?

Last time I uploaded photos to Facebook they were nice high res…

Load up Facebook.

Settings>Media>Upload Photos in HD

If that's already been done then I'm not sure.

Cheers yeah I read that but couldn’t find it in the settings on my iPad so thought it was old info. I’ll have another look. Tried to load up on desktop version of FB but it just drops straight into app :-) I’ll have a proper look.

Also dont upload full res photos.
Facebook compresses photos full stop, its a fact of life. How else can they host trillions of photos for free.
Reduce that compression by exporting your photos at 2048 or 1024 jpg 100%, this will reduce the amount of compression facebook needs to do.
Ask yourself how some people manage to upload good looking photos, not all of them look like crap.
