Flickering Dawn to Dusk light
Discussion
Bought a plug in dawn to dusk light from Lidl but it was a bit small and the light it gave out was weak.
So bought a plug in thing (I actually bought two) but when I connected it to a light it flashed on and off and when switching on and off sometimes for a couple of minutes. I now bought a bulb with a sensor and this too flickers on and off,
is the stuff i bought to cheap

On the face of it, yes.
On the assumption you meant a Dusk to Dawn, the brightness will depend on the use case, yes? To light up a corridor, so a child can navigate to the bathroom, you only need a small light source. To deter burglars in a courtyard, then a bigger one is needed.

You might want to be looking at proper lights, i.e. wall fittings rather than plug in jobs. Once you have priced up a sparky for that, you get to choose the fitting, and the bulb, i.e. LED or sodium.
Not paying £150 so a light comes on!The light flickers for 30 seconds, comes on for a minute or so then goes off and starts flashing again,
What I really find interesting was that the solar lights come on - some cost as much as 75p - without flickering and if you put the main light on they go off without a fuss, while the mains light keeps going on and off.

Exactly how cheap were these?
I've had 1970s sensors still going strong - it's not a new fancy tech. Flickering on the mains seems to suggest very cheap indeed.
The original plug in lightwas £5, the switches were £12 each (I took them back) and the bulb were £14 for two
