I am looking to upgrade my awful Sony Xperia 10 in a couple months, it's just been crap after about 10 months. It came with a free ps4....

Anyway my last phone was an s7 edge and the s20 FE looks to be as good as that but modern internals.

Has anyone experience with it. Plan is to keep payments under £30 span s21 is out if budget, even used good ones.

I ended up getting a used S20 as an upgrade from an S8. I wasn't able to keep it under £30, though that is plan dependent to be honest, but I found these articles useful comparisons to understand the S20FE specs and pros and cons. I also discovered that the S20 is actually a more advanced phone than the S21, which was built to be more affordable, so the S20FE may be better than you're expecting, despite being older.

Note the USB is different and I don't think either 20 or 20FE have a 3.5mm jack for headphones.

Thanks, there's a few things there I hadn't realised.

No 3.5 isn't great but not a deal breaker as a lot of good blootooth headsets now and I believe you can get a 3.5bluetooth dingle that goes into headsets that have an out jack hole?

The camera is the main thing as I need a good one for my business(need good images of my painted miniatures) and the software on the Sony is very poor (found out after the fact).

Reading online the s20 camera is, as good if not better than my old s7 edge, which was, superb
.

I'd rather avoid Huawei or Google phones, and I'm loathed to return to iPhone after bejng used to android for do long.

Tesco seem to have very good, tailorable contracts under £30pm with no upfront cost and 12gb data.

And they have stock, which is a bonus just now.

My S20 also came with wired headphones with the new usb attachment which are fine and was a nice bonus as I didn't realise they were in the box so had budgeted for headphones too. Just worth noting if you have an old but perfectly servicable pair of wired headphones which, in my case at least, are perfect for running with as they don't fall out and block the right amount of noise without being dangerous. I could be in the weeds here though...

I have an S20FE 5g that I bought direct from Samsung last September, been a fine phone, no issues, great screen and battery life. More than happy with mine.

My Note 9 screen finally died a couple of weeks ago, I ended up replacing it with a S20+.

The S20 is no longer cutting edge, so should be cheaper I thought, I was surprised that it's still doing good numbers on monthly contracts. I ended up buying a brand new one on eBay that was an insurance replacement for £380, that's going to come in a few quid under £30 a month amortised over a two year contract and a lot more flexibility around the next renewal.

Not had it long, but it seems really good, not necessarily a huge upgrade on my Note 9, but a good increment, I've not tried the camera though where I think it should be a bigger leap. I fancied something a little smaller, so was looking at the S10e too, but the S20 was a good price and it's smaller than the Note it replaced, so I went that way.

Anyway, my point is you might find better value on eBay.
