Hi there,

Looking to understand the law of diminishing returns.

I have two extenders, both plugged into different rings. Starting out at 75Mb in the room with the router, down to 25 in the next room and then in the furthest room, down to 6.

If I was to upgrade to say 150, would I get 12 furthest away?

Thanks, simple man maths in operation

What exact kit to you have?

WiFi Extenders (Booster) basically half the speed each hop.

In simple terms Powerline Extenders use the mains wiring to provide network access. Depending on the kit, they can provide WiFi access ... how they are setup will determine how good a WiFi speed you get. If configured as an Extender to the Router's WiFi then the result is "as above", if configured as an Access Point then speed will be determined by the speed you get through the mains and the WiFi spec of the device.
