How much data do you use?
160Gb is a huge amount.
well yes exactly. I use like 10Gb a month right now. It wasn't me that asked for 160 - this seems to just be what they do now, probably to try and justify a higher price. There were even some on the list which were designated 'unlimited data'.160Gb is a huge amount.
According to this, there are plenty of deals for £10/m or under for the amount of 5G data you want:

All the networks have an offering except EE so it would mean a change of network for you. I think for the extra peace of mind of not having my traffic de-prioritised I'd pay the fraction extra for one of the three main core providers (whichever gives you the best coverage where you use the phone the most) rather than the many MVNOs represented in this price range.
If it must be the EE network then the cheapest using it seems to be BT mobile (same ultimate parent company) at £17/m for 30Gb. Again, I think I'd pay the extra £3 for not being on an MVNO plus the extra data and take the offer you've been given at that point.

Might be worth requesting your PAC code from EE, did that last week as I was looking to move and they rang me the next day trying to get me to stay.
In the end got 40GB of 5G data for £14 a month which i'm happy with. Better deals out there but I was happy with EE.
To get your PAC code just text PAC to 65075
edit: And forgot to mention, they sent me a pair of beats wireless earphones for free which was a nice surprise! Cost £50 in most stores.

if you dont mind a new number you can open a new account and get £4 off that. or 10% depending as they they cant seem to make up their mind.
Its also £18 on a different part of their site.
Im currently on three but signal is dire so spent £30 on 3 £10 sims and ee seems the only one that gets decent speeds.Shame as better deals to be had elsewhere.

I requested my PAC from them earlier this year and they wouldn't budge from £20 a month for 24 months, 100GB 5G. I'm a relatively light data user, typically landing at around 6GB a month, so took my business to O2. Now I'm on £10 a month for 20GB 5G with a 12 month contract. Coverage is definitely not as good as EE, but that's partly why the pricing is lower - works well enough in most of the places I frequent.

Voxi (Vodafone) currently have a 30 day offer - 15Gb per month - £10
We (whole family) have been with them for nearly three years, started with 5Gb per month for £10 and every time they come out with a new offer we switch. The offer usually stays on your plan for 12-18 months, but in the meantime they come out with a better one anyway.
You simply pay every month and if you want to swap providers you just stop paying them.

I think the best deal from them is 30Gb for £15, and you get unlimited video (Prime, Netflix etc) and social streaming (Facebook, Tiktok etc) All 5G if available.I’m just about to get it for my holiday home to allow me to stream unlimited TV
