Mrs Fox has just purchased the above. She was using a Sony Xperia with a 64gb SDXC card

On changing the sim card she has

Lost access to Whats app and all the previous contacts

Ditto email messages

Ditto Messages (the phone to phone ones)

A stack of pictures

She also has an Ipad anyway that can help?

It looks like the iphone does take an SDXC card so as far as i am concerned i am up st creek not being a tecnogeek

What can i di to recover as much as i can from the above list, before she comes at me with a cleaver as it is driving her to the point of insanity

Can i swap data from the Sony to my laptop and then to the iphone,,or do it direct, or is it a lost cause, which would also p1ss me right off and i will take the clever to Microsoft HQ myself....

She has gone from an Android device to an Apple, it will not just swap over seamlessly. She will need to set everything up from scratch, WhatsApp acc, email account etc.

Log it into her apple iCloud account and it will sync with her iPad as long as it is set up correctly.

Pictures will need to be exported from the old phone then imported via platform, try dropbox or similar.

I hope you bought an iPhone SE with enough capacity to cover the lack of storage upgradability (i.e. the 128GB model over the 64GB model)...unless that 64GB SDXC was mostly empty of course wink

Hello just an update brefore i start wrecking her phones

She was having a real mare about the power cord was all wrong, and when i looked at it there was the apple connector on one end and a USB-C? on the other, does this mean that we can just connect the two and transfer stuff across, or am i being too wishful?

As Colin 79666 posted use the "move from Android" option on the iPhone as you set it up
