Facebook Notification problem

I am posting something visible to "Friends Except xxx...", but the friends it's intended for aren't receiving Notifications.

All the helpdesk type answers are aimed at the User not receiving Notifications when their friends post, rather than the other way round.

Any ideas?

That isn't the other way round. It's exactly what you described.

OK, I am the User. ​I see notifications when my friends post. My friends do not get a notification when I post.

All the answers online refer to helping me if I'm not receiving notifications.

You don’t get to choose what notifications your friends get - they get to choose that and they’ve probably got them wisely turned off

Indeed, but that's no help. They are getting notifications, except for the ones posted by me. Their settings are the same for me as for their other friends.

I have a couple of Facebook friends who won't STFU, so I have selected to 'ignore' them rather than 'unfriend' them.

Perhaps it's that?

No, they have all received posts until recently. I'm using a new PC but as FB is web-based it shouldn't affect the settings

They don't want to see your posts but are being polite and blaming Facebook for it rather than just telling you.

No, they can all see the posts in their newsfeed, but they just don't get a notification and that is what I need. I get notifications when they post, but they don't get them from me.

You would think so wouldn’t you. Except that they do see all of the posts, AND they get the Notifications, IF I post using the options ‘Friends’ or ‘Specific Friends’. ONLY if I post using the option ‘Friends Except...XXX’ do they see the posts but don’t get a Notification.
