I would like to remove all the notes and highlighted road of of this map,to use as a comparion to the area as it was in 1930

The Google Earth desktop client is pretty good.

I can't do it on your map, possibly because it's your map but bottom left corner of the map next to the side bar there should be a square which if you click in it should change your map between satellite view and normal.

Hold your cursor over the square and it should expand, click more, there should be a checkbox for 'Labels' Untick it.
