icloud / gmail problem

Hi all

I've had an icloud account for some time but used an android phone and a pc with 3 seperate gmail accounts

I now have an iphone se 2020 on ios 15

It's taking some getting used too but non-the-less I've made decent progress I recon; but stuck on a snag. . . .

When I set up iphone I believe I set the calendar app to a particular gmail address because after setup the iphone brought with it my events; no problem.

The problem is when I make a new calendar event ( kids party 5pm ) on my iphone and log into gmail on my pc and look at that calendar the kids party event ain't there ( If I make the entry on pc it shows up immediately on iphone ) !

Any solutions please?

Settings -> Calendar :
Check what your default calendar is set to.
