Printer first world problem
Discussion
I hope there's something I'm missing.
My Canon Pixma 3650 is no longer detectable over wifi. It did work perfectly until last week.
It cannot be detected by any of my devices (raspberry, android, windows). No changes have occurred except I installed PiHole and disabled DCHP on the router. I've tried reversing that, but the fact no other devices can see it makes me think it's the printer. I've tried various button sequences but no change.
Any ideas? The printer was only £35 but I just installed £45 of ink so would rather get it going again :-)
The built-in print test works fine and the printer works fine using USB, but that is a major effort.

Have you tried a wifi reset on the printer ?

Can you connect it up to a computer with the USB cable it came with, does the computer see it? If so is there any printer specific software if so uninstall it and reinstall it then when the printer is seen again with the cable in turn if off unplug the USB then switch it back on and try wifi again?
There might also be procedures when installing the software again that asks you to setup wifi for it.

I spent a lot on ink as I like the printer, might have paid over the odds if you think they were a similar price to genuine Canon. They are high-capacity and I am sure the ones they give you with a new printer just have "enough" to get you started.
I finally have it working wirelessly again. I've removed the Raspberry, which wasn't really doing what I wanted it to as it can't block Youtube ads and my PC is plenty to run UBlock. So I'm looking to repurpose that (again). Set the router back to mostly factory settings. I went through some really odd button sequences on the printer which might have reset its wireless settings (hold down wireless until the power button flashes, then press black, colour, wireless until the blue light flashes, then press WPS on the router).
Not sure which of the above actually did the trick but I've done them all before. Just not in the right order maybe. I've never been great with networks.
Now I just need a reason to print something ;-) First world problems.

Thanks, that was probably part of the solution but I'm not sure. The software just refused to install because it didn't see the printer. I didn't want to use USB as it's a massive ballache, and the whole point of this printer is that it's wireless and lives in a unit behind me. It must have been something I did but I even printed a test page from the Raspberry just to see if it could, so it wasn't that. I think I cast the right spells in the right order, as I've done all the same things before. There might also be procedures when installing the software again that asks you to setup wifi for it.
It's a really good printer for the money and I'd definitely replace it with the same model if I needed to. When all this was fields you'd be lucky to get a B&W dot matrix for £100, so £35 for a decent colour printer and scanner is fantastic. I don't mind if I got ripped off on the new cartridges, I'm sure they contain a lot more ink than the ones the printer came with...

I've left it unplugged overnight. Tried resetting it's firmware with a set of button presses, and wifi is on.
I'm thinking the wifi in the printer broke. I'll probably just buy another one.
Are all your devices on the same WiFi band? As laptops etc can connect to 2g or 5g, but many printers only connect to 2g.I'm thinking the wifi in the printer broke. I'll probably just buy another one.
