So i bought my daughter a Google Pixel 6 phone to replace her aging Samsung galaxy S8.
Within a week she is experiencing constant SW freezing and SW re boots.

Any ideas?

Is this a good enough reason to ask for a refund and go back to a galaxy?

Does it have the latest software update installed - it came out on Tuesday I believe?
Failing that, back it up and factory reset and see how it is afterwards (it's what Google support will ask you to do) if that doesn't sort it then get on to them.

Loosing the will to live with the two Google Pixel phones i bought for my children!!!

No SW updates ready to be installed and the phones just keep crashing. File manager will not work, the phones crash when trying to make a call. They are truly not fit for purpose.

I have read that returns incur a £99 charge to get a replacement device.

Anyone else had any success in getting a Pixel 6 returned? I just want a phone that works.

Its quite shocking really. I am surprised that they are getting away with selling phones that dont work.

Where were they bought from? Google themselves are relatively pain free when it comes to replacing, just open a webchat with them tell them the issues and tell them you have tried all the troubleshooting already. They will send you a new one out then return the old one.

But if it wasn't bought from them, then they wont be interested.

Thanks - I bought from google and contacted them just now.

I have been told to take the phones to a branch of iSmash or SBE? My closest store is 85 miles away!

I am not taking this....

Try clicking on about phone and then send feedback as you can send Google the system logs so they can troubleshoot what's causing the crashing (lots of the time it can be third party applications).

My Pixel 6 Pro rebooted randomly a few times in the first weeks but looking at the uptime it's now been on for over 2 weeks without a crash.

I'm in the same boat.. just want to get rid. How I miss my iPhone, last Google phone I had was a nexus 4.. amazing phone and had hoped the Pixel 6 would be as good.. it's not, it's worse.
Going to wait until Oct and go back to Apple, may be boring but after a day working on dumb user problems just want something to work without issues

I've been on the chat since 16:05 today and just been disconnected now.

Bottom line, i bought my handsets (2) in October as part of the pre-order. They are telling me that there are two options:

1. That i take to iSmash or SBE at my cost to have them repaired
2. That i send to their repair place - it will take 10d to get back

I pressed them that the phone is as new - so why does it need repair? They refused to answer.

One thing that they made very clear - no money back. Can i speak to my bank and get my money back?

Could anyone help me with this or help to set up a group of furious Google Pixel 6 users? I feel like i have been robbed. I trusted them and pre-ordered and now i am stuck. This doesnt seem fair.

If you bought using a CC you might be able to claim section 75, mine certanily is not fit to be called a smart phone.. however I stupidly used klarna to buy so no protection, should have just used a 0% card for the protection and then paid it off.. think I was having a blond moment

Saw on Twitter that tech influencer MKBHD has stopped using his 6 Pro because of bugginess. Has returned to a Samsung Galaxy.
