I need a new Apple A1424 charger. Would it be possible to use an alternative, perhaps something with removable cables so that i can also use it to charge other devices too?

Can anyone recommend appropriate products? I want something from a decent manufacturer (safety first).

I'm unsure if a 100W charger like this https://satechi.net/products/100w-usb-c-pd-compact... would be safe and charge correctly?

A couple of weeks ago I bought an Anker thunderbolt 4 dock to go with my new MacBook Pro…

As I am working from home it charges the MacBook most of the time as well as allowing me to run 2 screens (one is 4k), a number of other usb devices and a backup drive - all off one thunderbolt connection.

Since it arrived I haven’t used the new MagSafe charger that came with MacBook.

Thanks. My concern (or lack of knowledge) is that I believe newer MacBooks are able to autodetect the input from different wattage chargers and adapt the charging accordindly. I am not sure whether the same applies to my old MacBook circa 2015 model.
