Evening all,

I am trying to find a specific email from a specific person. He sends me a lot of email, but not many have attachments, so I thought I'd start out searching for email from him - all good so far - and then clicking on "has attachments" to filter down the results...

No Results

Yes, there bloody well ARE results!!! I can see some of them right there on the page before I filter for attachments, but now all of a sudden, apparently they're figments of my imagination, because Outlook is telling me they don't exist!!!

Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong?

Outlook sometimes does that. Solution is usually to reindex everything.

Is your search for all email, pretty sure my phone doesn’t give a full search like it does from my laptop.
Failing that so you know roughly when the email was from? Go to that rough time period and look for the paper clip symbol on the mail list

Search using webmail if you have access to that?

Are you also searching archived stuff?

Sorry, got distracted! Thanks for the replies so far!

I'm using the Windows 10 client, not webmail, not archived email, and I can find the email by scrolling down, it's just frustrating not to be able to find it using the search!

I'll have a crack at reindexing tomorrow.

I have noticed the Outlook search has recently got a lot worse. Software update?
