just been hacked,help!

Fellas,
connected to a hotel lan just watched my pc get hacked before my very eyes.
1.I have black ice on the pc,but
is that still going to be working if I am plugged into the hotel lan?

2.Mozilla will not work now - do you know how to re enable it (I accidentally clicked always disable in my panic).

3.When I can re enable I presumably go and get the software updates from black ice etc? ( I am using mozilla for this)

4.Is there anything I should do to be better protected?

I was typing an email from a yahoo address when I noticed the curser going all over the place then bang,all the desktop opened and started getting gobbled up.

All help greatly appreciated

is your laptop from uk?

Possibly already infected before you left?

oh yeah assuming its windows xp, boot it up in safe mode so it has not ip connections and take a look see whats running

Quite a lot of the more recent virii block anti-virus sites... spotted that trend on the increase.

When you say "hacked" what exactly do you mean.. generally I've only seen trojans acting like this (with the odd exception).

You got anything like MS anti-spyware, spybot or ad-aware on the laptop..?

can you surf at all y/n
if yes look get your firewalls updated and look at the logs to see what has been allowed to pass or act as server. Ensure no remote access tools are running.
Find the "hijack This" website and post up what if finds.

Was your sleeve actuating the touchpad?

no,I am always naked when at the pc.For webcam purposes.
