Wondering if anyone has had the same experience ...

We bought a Ring2 a little while back and set it up as per instructions. I'm the account owner, but invited my wife, via her email address as a shared device.
Given that we both work away form home, the thought process was we'd both get notifications and be able to answer the door.

However it never seems to act as we'd expect. instead only one phone will show notifications / alert when someone rings.

We compounded the issue by adding a spotlight cam - and frankly that never bothers telling us anything !

I have mine working across multiple devices. Think the issue is the software is not the best (and annoyingly for me they are about to drop the PC desktop app) .

Is it consistent as to which phone you get the alerts on ? If so check the settings on the phone where it is not working. Also go on to the Ring website and check the list of authorised devices.

I have two hard wired ring flood light cams

Both cams send alerts to my phone and my wifes phone

They seem to work really well

I have one set quite high on the gable and it covers a lot

I also have a battery spotlight cam at the the rear of the house it works fine but dont seem to get so many alerts from it

Assuming its not a simple as alerts button not switched on within the app ??

Ring 2 doorbell here, linked to my Android phone and tablet, and to the wife's iPhone, all receive motion and person detected alerts fine.

If only the doorbell ring worked at the time it was pressed, and not delayed for ages, it'd be an impressive gadget.

I'm suffering similar to people above....

One device is rarely giving notifications...none of them give them reliably on both devices....and those that are giving notifications are doing so on a delayed basis.

I've had Ring Doorbells for years now and never really had any hassles and been impressed with their utility....but they're going south rapidly IME. I suspect it may be a case of deleting the account and starting again...but not really sure I can be bothered. Between this, and them changing the Doorbell "2" to be non-changeable battery I'm going to look at moving away from their products.

I have Nest smoke/CO detectors across the house and their app works really well IME. So will look at their doorbells.

Have also been pondering a security camera set up for a while and think Eufy might be the way that money goes (just need to look at storing captures to my NAS), and they also do doorbells. That might be a more sensible option.

Ring pro, get alerts on my iPhone, iPad and my wife gets alerts on her iPhone. My problem is stopping car headlights setting the bloody thing off, even with the zone thing set to people.

Thanks all, interesting that we all have different experiences.

The notification is not consistent to one device . at any time, my phone could be pinging me the laerts form the front door, and on another day, it'll be all on my wifes phone and may stays quiet.

Both phones are in the supported devices list too, and we've tried reinstalling the app.

With regards the notify button - i will dbl check that - notify is defo on, but i wonder if mine is set to smart notifications vs a different setting on the wifes phone ?

Will loko at the rapid ring app too.

Have you change the setting on her phone to receive notifications?

We both receive notifications without any issues
