As I'm not a powerfully built director, I can't afford an Iphone 13, so make do with a Samsung.

Unusual problem that I have googled and can't find a solution.

When I have a QR code sent to me, e.g. Amazon return or a Tesco clubcard voucher, it can't be read. The same QR codes work fine on my wife's Iphone or if I print them out.

Anyone any ideas?

QR code readers are just apps. yYou can try a different QR code app from the store. Alternatively try making sure the QR code itself is well lit and has high contrast.

Which Samsung is it?

Mine (S9) will pick then up from the built-in camera app, but I have a feeling an older one I had (probably S7) needed an app. But that was a while ago...

Stick the Google Lens app on your phone.

Do you mean they can't be scanned (read) from your phone screen? I ask as Amazon and Tesco don't send you printed codes, they email them to be subsequently scanned.

My dads S6 opens them from the main camera app since an update to it, never used to though as it required a separate app for a long time.

Yes, they can’t be read from my phone screen.
