Is the above possible?

Setup is iPad on the back of head rest in car, which is a pain to operate by passenger on the move.

It would be great if we could partially operate the iPad with an iPhone… even just to queue up YouTube videos or such, and play/pause etc.

Is it possible

Thanks

Sadly that will not work... but nice idea, a glimmer of hope

Was going to suggest headphones to skip/pause/play
But it looks like it can all be done from an iPhone via switch control https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT205644

Not sure that will work as I don't have a Wi-Fi network in my car.

Iphone hotspot?
Not sure that works… either way, having tried switch control on my iPhone and getting locked out on it unable to use the touch screen I don’t think I want to spend too much more time playing with that.

In iOS 15.2 (not sure about lesser versions) you can cast music and video to another apple product and control it from your phone - I can play music or watch stuff on my MacBook and control it using my phone. I'm sure you can do the same to an iPad. You just touch the AirPlay icon and it lists where you can cast to. Works with YouTube too, just tried it.
