Magnetic iPhones?

Does anyone know if an iPhone XS Max will attach to a magnetic phone holder as it is? Or, do I need some kind of magic case?

I'm trying to attach it to my dashboard with the bare minimum of fuss.

I don't think so. They introduced wireless charging for those phones, and that needed a glass back.

If you'd had a later one, 12 I think with the MagSafe charging ability you might have been able to use that on a mount.

Ah, that's a pain - I don't want one of those handle things on it, I was hoping for something invisible.

I have a tiny magnet on the back of my phone that goes onto the car holder - best holder I’ve ever had (bought the same for my parents). I’ll try and find which one it was for you incase it helps.

Yeah mine is the other way around, holder is magnetic with a small metal disc that sits inside the case. Works really well.

These guys do a mount with a small metal plate to put on your phone. It can be put in between your phone and a case.
