Hi all, is anyone doing this?
Originally you could only do it if you had sky broadband but I’m told you can now do it with any broadband provider.

Question is, what password to use when logging in.

I can see the SSID but no idea what password to use.

Any help greatly appreciated!

They should all be cloned in their design to use the same SID and password as your main router. If you sourced the mini independently you will red to reset it to default.

How to turn on WiFi hotspots

Press Home on your Sky Q remote, then select Settings, followed by Setup and then Network.
Select Advance Settings, and then WiFi hotspots and select Turn on.
Enter your TV Pin to confirm.
You will then see information screens about enabling WiFi hotspots on your Sky Q boxes, select continue to accept.
If your router/hub is set up correctly, you will then see a confirmation screen that WiFi hotspots is now set up.

Thanks for the replies.
I have them enables and I can see them, but can’t work out what the password is.
Maybe this is because the main box is hard wired to my router and now via Wi-Fi.

Password on mine is same as router. My understanding is Sky box becomes a repeater of your existing Wi-fi network.

Sorry for the non-technical description but hope that helps.

Does everyone have the option to turn on Wi-Fi hotspots?

That option isn’t there when I follow the instructions above

I did this for a couple of years until I upgraded to fttp with a different provider.

Only works if you have sky broadband.

It works with any ISP now. Sadly, I can’t get it to work!

I’ve just tried.

I have sky broadband but under Network - advanced - I only get an option for IP settings.

I’ve got it working this morning. Needs to be done from the main box. I took some screenshots, I’ll post them from my computer when I get home.
