Just upgraded my Thunderbird to r78(.14) and now I'm getting an envelope icon in the subject line, which seems to indicate read or unread?

Is there anyway to remove it?

I'm not seeing that but I'm on 97.0 Beta 2.

Have a look in the 'select columns to display tag' just above the scroll bar and check/uncheck down the list. 'Status' adds a 'Read' column to the right of the date in mine.

Cracked it, it was an add on Phoenity Icons causing it. I installed that as the folder icons on my newly installed r78 were horrible. Needed a css tweak to remove the icon.

Can I ask what the folder icons look like in r97?

The standard r78 one's are dreadful:

Phoenity Icons changes them to this:

They're the same as your standard ones. Thunderbird is a bit basic in that respect isn't it but I've been using it for decades so have become used to it.

Also been using it for many years.

r68, the previous release I was using, had folder icons similar to the ones provided by the add-on.

Can't see why they changed them in r78.

My Thunderbird is 91.5.0 - where do you get this 'R' version from?

I notice you're running 32-bit, as am I, but my Windows is 64-bit.

I can see that Thunderbird is available for 64-bit, anyone have 64-bit installed or does it actually install the same 32-bit regardless?

I only noticed I was running the 32bit edition after capturing that screenshot. I'd not previously noticed.

There shouldn't be any difference between the 32 & 64 bit versions as far as I know.

Running 32bit on my 64bit desktop and 64bit on my 64bit laptop, both the Beta mentioned above. No difference noticed.
