Over the last few months or so I’ve been playing a bit more CoD Warzone and have decided, for my wife’s sanity, to buy a gaming headset to prevent the house shaking every time a grenade goes off… tried using my work Jabra Evolve 65 duo but it’s absolutely useless for anything other than voice chat.

I’d prefer not to spend more than £150, but for the right headset this can be stretched a little further. Requirements are wireless, comfortable, decent battery life & must perform well with regard to spatial awareness, so I guess 7.1 style?

I’ve had the Hyper X Cloud II and the Turtle Beach 700 gen 2 suggested to me so far.

Over to you, cheers.

PC, Xbox, Switch or PS5? Or all of them?

I had a Steel Series for my Xbox, it was comfy, but constantly disconnected, didn’t sound very good and felt flimsy. It’s the only thing I’ve ever returned to Amazon for a refund, style over substance and there are pictures all over the web of broken headsets due to the flimsy ear hinge. Another poster on here swears by his, but 100’s of bad user experiences are at odds with him.

I’ve got a set of Corsair HS75 XB, specifically for Xbox which are brilliant in every way, except they don’t work on anything else except Xbox, no bluetooth or cables.

Sorry missed that out - PS4 for the moment but will likely get a PS5 around April/May.

I just had a new one from Turtlebeach for the PS5. I think it’s the Recon 500. Went with wired as it’s only plugged in to the controller and I got fed up of keeping charging my wireless one which was the Sony Gold.

Overall I’m glad I did, it’s been excellent.

Consider the Logitech G935 as well. I've had mine 18+ months. Works with all consoles I believe.

Pros:
- battery still lasts over 12 hours
- mic tucks away nicely into earcup and auto mutes
- USB adapter packs into the other earcup if you want to take the headset somewhere else
- well padded headband
- excellent construction, headband is metal, no creaking etc
- decent range of adjustment
- no white noise. When I was looking I was finding common complaints with white noise in headphones with slimmer earcups (Arctis Pro Wireless principally) caused by poor insulation
- good range, I can walk downstairs into the kitchen and still talk on Discord/listen to music

Cons:
- bulky
- looks a bit daft if I'm honest
- RGB may or may not be your thing, but you can't see it when it's on your head anyway!

I have the Steel Series Arctis Pro Wireless and it's been fantastic, never drops out (I can use it for conference calls when working from home and walk two rooms away, no difference to being in front of the PC), feels very solid, has bluetooth for my mobile and works on PC (USB) or PS4/PS5 (optical) which means it also works if plugged in to the TV optical to watch a film. I'd highly recommend mine to anyone.

Thanks for the responses. After a good few hours of research and youtube videos I've ordered the Hyper X Cloud II Wireless.
