I have a work laptop, hdmi output, 2 monitors.

Would prefer a plug n play due to having to install drivers and get IT involved. Any cheapish options?

You'll need IT involved for the most common UCB option, called Displaylink.

There's no chance you've got a USB C port that supports what is called DisplayPort alt mode? Look for a stylised P or lightning bolt symbol by the port or google the laptop model.

it is a lenovo thinkpad e15, i can't see any ports.

Edit spec says, ''USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB-C, with Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode)''

So it can use DisplayPort mode, what do i need to buy? Can i charge and display screens?

The cheap USB C dock I bought to use my Dell laptop at home seems to let me extend fine.

I have this one from Anker - its been completely faultless for a couple of years now with my Mac

I tried a couple of cheaper ones before getting the above including and Amazon Basics one and they all were not consistent or reliable.
