Trying to rationalise some space on my desk, by selling my old 27imac, and use my MacBook Pro more effectively, plus get my PS5 away from the living room.

Is there a monitor out there which will allow me to hitch up the MacBook Pro using USB-C, but also allow an input from the PS5 to make use of its 4k output… guess I’m going to need some speakers as well.

Would be nice to also connect it as an extended display on my work laptop.

Unfortunately I’m not very tech savvy these days!! Having one big screen on my desk would be a lot nicer

I recently had a similar issue where I wanted one monitor for several inputs including MacBook, work laptop and occasional xbox use.
Decided upon a Samsung M7 as it was one of the few in a reasonable size (32”), which was 4K, usb-c and plentiful usb-a/hdmi ports for other devices.
Very good value for money and bought it direct from Samsung for 50% off! It’s slightly larger than i would have liked but I could get it for far less than any others i had looked at.
I found that not any old USB-C cable will work with the MacBook, you need a thunderbolt cable for it to connect to the display so bear that in mind.

I use a Samsung ultra wide as a dock for my Macbook Pro so it charges it using the USB C and has all the USB bits plugged in for keyboard, network etc

I have my PS5 plugged in to it as well but it doesn't work in ultrawide, I end up with black bars either side. Perfectly suitable for playing on at my desk.
