Hi sometimes the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard does not show up on some sites even though I have the cursor clearly in a text field. Is there a way to invoke it? Thanks in advance.

You could try a different keyboard from the Play Store to establish if it's just the SwiftKey app.
Or you may find it might just be the device itself.
I've a low-power but budget friendly Samsung Galaxy Tab A for couch use, and it's fine 95% of the time but on the odd regular occurrence there will be a noticeable lag where the cursor appears in the text box but it takes time for the keyboard to appear. A little like your experience.

Just tap in the box again, same as if you'd dismissed the keyboard by pressing Back.

The keyboard never appears so not a lag.

Touching the box again and again doesn't work either. Even if I move around the page and back it just won't appear.

The keyboard is invoked when a text input gets focus, so clicking out of the text box and back in should do it.

If that doesn't work it suggests a problem with the keyboard app I reckon.

Is it just the browser?

Go the Play Store app, look at your apps, and make sure everything is up to date.

Also make sure the device software itself is up to date.

Might be worth reinstalling it.

Don't think I've ever had a problem with SwiftKey.
