Any advice welcome. We need a projector for taking to prospective clients and doing demos etc. Should be quite bright as they often don't have very shaded rooms. Also needs to be portable.

Don't really want to spend more than £2.5K on one.

Thanks

Dave

Try BenQ. We've got one in the office. Very bright and under £1400 IIRC.

Hitachi cp 328 (replaced by 340 or 345 ithink)
shortish throw lense which is useful in those tighter rooms, fairly bright with good contrast. Light and portable, xga res.

Mitsubishi xd400u slightly bigger but doesn't seem much heavier, still easily portable but brighter and higher contrast. Longer throw lense. I think this has horizontal keystone too.

Both have fairly saturated colours so good for PC/powerpoint stuff but not so good for subtle tones (DVDs )

both should be well inside your price bracket. These are IMHO from using them not spec sheets.

I wouldn't buy one till I'd seen it running though preferably with my own sources plugged in.
