Hi

Following on from the 'HOW MANY PROFESSIONAL IT BODS ARE ON PH ?' I'd like to ask if any of you are North-West based and would like to add your CV to my company's repository*? :readit:

NB: We are not an agency. :nono: We're a small software development company who need contractors on occasion and prefer to call on people we know and trust rather than working through the agencies who tend to throw anyone at us if they think they'll get some cash out of it**.

We're particularly looking for .NET developers but any IT CVs are very welcome.

Thanks in advance

roadie.

*I have obtained Ted's clearance for this.
**I know they're not all like that so if anyone knows any good ones please let me know. :)

Come on, there must be a few lurking on here! I know I'm not the only geek on PH.

Yeah, but most freelancers know that there is a much higher client density "darn sarf" which is why we're all based down here.

I work 'from' Liverpool, but have only worked their twice in 15 years. Usually work for London-based companies (Cap Gemini, EC Harris, Deloitte, etc) anywhere they send me. Closest has been Warrington, furthest was Indianapolis (very dull place to work).

Is location that important?

We have 3 developers based in the States and this rarely causes issues, or do you need them on client sites etc?

cheers

It's really for where we need people on client sites, but I don't exclude 'remote' developers either.
