Secure disposal of broken mobile?

I have a few phones in my draw now, all broken and unusable (to me!), but in the memory chips there will still be my details - logins, apps, etc including financial apps and generally stuff I'd rather someone not have access to. Is there somewhere they can be securely recycled rather than simply thrown away, which will guarantee the data security/wipe? Not expecting any money for them, but would rather recycle than landfill. Most of the online companies either look dodgy, or only want working phones.

Most online places want the chips/metals and aren't bothered about the secure recycle element. Same as the online computer recycling places, lots promise it but most rarely do a recent job of it.
