I have a Samsung S9, PC and a laptop.

When I delete an email on any of these, it also deletes on the other two.. which is fine

However the laptop is going back to Currys under guarantee and whilst i have got all the Word/excel/downloads saved on an extl HD, how to i remove the Mail 'folder' from the laptop without losing the whole lot on the other two?

Any thoughts...TIA

If it is mirrored on all devices then the emails should already be saved on the providers server. What provider is it? If you log into their web portal you should see them all there and all you need to do in the laptop is to remove the email account from the email client.

Who's the account host? Is it POP3, IMAP or internet based? You are going to have to give more info if you want help.

Remove the account in settings, or the ‘nuke the site from orbit’ option is to reset the whole windows 10 (google it)

I'm no expert but isn't it just a case of resetting that computer to remove your account?

Yeah I’d reset Win10 if it’s going in for warranty.

If there is a chance it’ll be coming back, then grab an image with Macrium Reflect.

As others have said ideally you’d have told us you email provider and mail client.

Though it should also be as easy as removing your account from the email client and resetting windows as belt and braces.

Factory reset win 10.

if you're paranoid or there is critical information in the emails and/or files on the disk, secure wipe the drive with one of the many tools out there and reinstall windows

No you need to remove the account from the mail client, you haven’t said what mail client you are using or what email provider either dispite a few of us asking.

You don’t need to have any disc to do the factory reset.

Still too vague.

If we know whan mail program you are using it's a simple as removing your account details, and possible a PST file. Takes less than a minute.

If deleting emails on one, deletes on all you are either accessing web mail, or you have a mail client with IMAP setup on them

If you specifically delete the mail, then yes it will probably delete from the other devices.

If you factory reset the machine without first deleting the mail, then it will remain on the other devices.
